Market Day!!!

Today was Market Day for South Elementary School 2nd graders.  We had such an amazing time!  Our students have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks preparing for this special event.  Each child created their own business selling a specific good or service.  They each decided on a good or service, created their own business plan, designed posters and digital slideshows to advertise, worked with their parents to purchase necessary items and then set their store up on their own! We sold our goods and services to other 2nd graders, teachers and staff members (even our principal came to our stores!!).  We also had the opportunity to buy items from other 2nd graders using pretend money from our teachers!! It was so much fun! This project took a lot of hard work, thought, time and energy.  I am SO proud of everyone's dedication and commitment to make this successful.
